I began using drugs at a young age and carried that addiction into adulthood. In 2023, I gave my life to Jesus and began walking with Him. Soon after, God convicted me to face a charge I had been running from, so I turned myself in. While in prison, I learned about Adult & Teen Challenge and felt God calling me to stay in Texas, where I’ve devoted my life to serving Him and sharing the Gospel.

I have struggled with addiction for 12 years, I am now a father of 2 boys and a baby girl. I have come to ATCOT to re-establish my relationship with God and dedicate my life to Him so that I can become a walking Bible for people to read by my actions and see my love towards them. I want to be able to minister to people about the joy and peace God has brought into my life by putting my faith in Him.

I believe one year of my life here at Adult & Teen Challenge is worth a lifetime of freedom. I hope to be the kind of person who my family can look up to and trust again. I hope that by choosing to come here I can change my life from once being in addiction and homeless to a serving leader and member of society.

Before coming to Adult & Teen Challenge I was stuck in a repeating cycle of addiction and prison. I wanted to escape from the life I was living and needed help. I was put in contact with ATCOT and since I’ve been here I’ve found true happiness. I’ve be reborn in Christ and I have continual strength to stay sober, I have found a real genuine joy in my life.

I came to Adult & Teen Challenge to grow closer to God and deepen my understanding of the Bible. Before arriving here, I was homeless and cried out to God for freedom and a place to call home. Now, I’m believing for full restoration through Christ and healing in my relationships with my family.

I came to Adult & Teen Challenge because I had repented of my addiction and wanted to go somewhere where I could grow and learn how to be a Christian. My hope is to find true freedom from addiction and become a minister of The Gospel.

My family was concerned for my safety and I felt very disconnected from them, I hope to gain peace of mind for myself and family. As well as build up healthy habits.

After having what felt like every other door close, hurting my family in the process I asked God for help. Since I’ve been here I have grown, and I hope to set a better example for my family and show them who I really am.

After losing everything other than my wife and son, I had hit rock bottom but God gave me another chance to gain back all that I lost. Adult and Teen Challenge has given me the chance to repair my relationships and become closer to God.

I entered Adult & Teen Challenge to lay down strong foundations for my future. I want to build a routine that honors God—something I can take with me long after completing the program. As I seek the Lord, I trust He will continue to provide everything I need, just as He always has.

I came to Adult & Teen Challenge after addiction had taken everything from me except my faith. While in prison, I learned about the program and knew God was calling me to start fresh with Jesus at the center of my life.

Years ago, I found God through Adult & Teen Challenge, where I learned to pray, worship, and know His Word. After years of struggling, the Lord brought me back here, restoring my hope and giving me a new life in Him.

I am here at Adult &Teen Challenge to learn discipline and grow in my faith. I had lost everything, my vehicle, relationship, and I was even struggling to keep a job because of my addiction. Thankfully my mom told me about the program and I’ve been able remain sober and get closer to God, I feel stronger in my faith with Jesus!

I was living a selfish life, my walk with God and marriage were struggling. I hope to gain the love for myself that I know God has for me. I want my wife to be able to depend on me and provide for my children.

I'm here at Adult & Teen Challenge because I tried to do life on my own, without putting God first. That only left me feeling depressed, alone, and stuck in addiction. I knew I needed a change. I want to be mentally healthy, break free from addiction, and most importantly, grow in my relationship with God. I believe He has a purpose for me, and I’m ready to find out what that is.
